Virtual Programs on Zoom

If you are new to Zoom and would like to participate in our virtual activities, register for our You Can Zoom Too program! Many of our community members are new to Zoom and we have worked together to learn how to participate in virtual programming. This is a great way to stay connected if in-person activities are not possible and for providing accessible programming for those who wish to participate from home.
You Can Zoom Too!

Register for a one-on-one phone session. Appointments are made for a phone call to walk through the steps of how to use Zoom on your computer. A trial run with a one-on-one zoom meeting is set-up. A computer or tablet with a wifi/internet connection is needed.

Bone Fit

  • Monday 11:00am
  • Enhance upper and lower body strength. Increase overall and promote cardiovascular health. Improve core strength.

Chair Yoga

  • Wednesday 10:00am
  • Gentle Chair Yoga for both beginners and those who wish to work on building more muscle endurance. Relaxing meditation and breathwork.

Coffee Social Speaker Series

  • Tuesday 10:30am
  • Weekly guest speaker presentation. Guest speakers are announced in advance so you can join a conversation that is of interest to you.

Health & Wellness Workshops

  • Monthly educational programs that promote health and wellness for older adults.

Trivial Pursuit

  • Thursday 1:00pm
  • Enjoy a fun hour of Trivia with Friends. Up to twelve players. Participants are divided into different teams of two each week.

In-Person Programs

Over thirty different activities run weekly at the Woolwich Seniors Association, however, due to COVID-19, in-person programming is limited at this time. We look forward to offering our full compliment of activities and a return to regular scheduling when it is safe to do so.

Some in-person programming will begin in September 2021.

Pickleball

  • A paddleball sport resembling tennis. Two or four players use paddles to hit a ball over a net.

Quilting

  • Enjoy time quilting with other seniors that share enjoyment of this talent and hobby.

Shuffleboard

  • Providing a low impact fitness activity; players push disks with long-handled cues, into scoring areas.

Snooker

  • Players use a cue ball to pocket other balls in a set order, on a billiard table.
